Goings On Around the Clubhouse
Spring is starting to show itself at the Kempton Clubhouse. There are some early flowers coming up and trees are starting to bloom. The spring rains have come to Arizona and the clubhouse has warm days and the fireplace to take away the evening chill. The humming birds have already returned but the hot summer days are some months away.
We had a good time on the WEX trip to megalithic Mexico and the Zapotec cities of Oaxaca. We visited the mountaintop city of Monte Alban, the megalithic ruins of Mitla, and drove over the mountains to the sandy beaches of the Pacific Coast. See the article on Monte Alban in the current issue of World Explorer. Check out future trips at the events pages. https://wexclub.com/events
I traveled around Micronesia, Hawaii, Colombia and Peru for the Ancient Aliens show on the History Channel in 2019. Jennifer and I met up with old friend Hugh Newman (who was also featured in the episode) while in Peru, and a few weeks later flew to Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii for a shoot in some lava tubes and other areas of the island. We learned some interesting things—see the Menehune article in the last issue. Later we went back to Hawaii, this time to Oahu where we met up with Giorgio Tsoukalos, and then flew to Micronesia.
I had a great time at the AlienCon in Dallas in early October. Giorgio was there as well as Hugh Newman of Megalithomania and fellow author Mike Bara. Check out future conferences at: http://www.thealiencon.com. I spoke the next weekend at the A.R.E.’s October Ancient Mysteries conference where old friends Robert Shoch and Andrew Collins also spoke.
Unfortunately both HistoryCon at the Pasadena Convention Center from April 3 to 5 and the UFO-Con in Orlando have been cancelled because of the corona virus pandemic. Check out future dates of UFO-Con in Florida at: https://www.theufocon.com/tickets
After discussing the Antarctica trip with Mike Migliore of Holiday Maker Travel, the agency running the WEX Club cruises, we may have to reschedule the cruise to Antarctica for December of 2021. Mike tells me that Hurtigruten Cruises has a brand new expedition ship for Antarctica and we can be one of the first groups to use this ship. Giorgio Tsoukalos has agreed to participate in our 11-day expedition and the whole group will fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina and then fly to Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost city in the world. From there we will embark on a double-hulled exploration ship and spend five full days in Antarctica with lots of shore excursions. All excursions, meals and drinks are included in the package. Lots of special presentations will be given by me, Giorgio and others on this cruise. Contact Mike for questions on the ship at the wexclubcruises website. Participants need to sign up early to confirm our space on the ship and receive substantial discounts, so if you are interested, we need you to commit in the next few months! This has been the snag in the works with us scheduling the trip in the past—the cruise ship cancels our hold on rooms pretty early.
We are also looking into a shorter, cheaper cruise out of Seattle to Glacier Bay and the Alaskan Coast. Let us know if you are interested in that cruise as well. Check out the Antarctic Cruise on the web pages at: www.wexclubcruises.com
My latest book, Obelisks: Towers of Power, was released last year. It covers the history and mystery of obelisks and how they may have been giant crystal towers used for a worldwide Tesla power system.
